A DC-to-DC converter is an electronic circuit or electromechanical device that converts a source of direct current (DC) from one voltage level to another. This Orion 24/12-70A DC-DC converter IP20 steps down the voltage from 24 Volts to 12 Volts. This product is distinguishable by high efficiency, together with absolute safety. An inferior supply can cause irreparable damage to the system, but the use of an Orion voltage converter prevents such problems. There is a remote on-off connector which eliminates the need for a high current switch in the input wiring. The remote on-off can be operated with a low power switch or by the engine run/stop switch. This model has adjustable output can also be used as a battery charger, for example to charge a 24 Volt starter or accessory battery in an otherwise 12V system. This also has adjustable output which can be paralleled to increase output current, Up to five units can be connected in parallel. Easy to install includes four Insulated Fastons Female Crimp 6.3mm.
